• What means direct readout?
  The instruments measure the atmosphere and simulaneously send the data down to Earth for processing. SAMPO provides this data about 15 min after the satellite overpasses the FMI's Satellite Data Center at Sodankyla, Northern Finland.


• What is a composite image?
  Images for each day are stacked so that the newest image is always on top (they might party overlap each other).


• Can I use SAMPO images?
  Yes, for uncommercial purposes.
